Contemporary is an umbrella term for a number of different dance forms all stemming from the modern dance revolution at the beginning of the 20th century.

In these classes students have the chance to experience a variety of different techniques and styles including influences from Cunningham, Graham, Release and Limon as well as more theatrical contemporary and lyrical styles that are popular at the moment.

These classes focus on development of technique/physicality and pushing boundaries as well as choreographic and improvisational skills to encourage creativity. We do not offer exams in contemporary but groups may be considered for performance opportunities and competitions.
